Vidák László: Tomas Bata, az ismert cseh vállalkozó az 1930-as években cipőgyárat tervezett alapítani Magyarországon. A cégvezető a gyárépítéshez megfelelő helyszínt keresve talált rá Martfű településre, ahol az infrastrukturális feltételek ideálisak voltak.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Az új cégnek tehát a háború éveiben kellett megerősödnie…

V.L.: Bata a gyár építéséhez szükséges telket 1939-ben vásárolta meg. Az építkezés három évig tartott, a termelés 1942-ben kezdődött meg, és a háborús évek alatt sem szünetelt – igaz a céget jelentős veszteségek érték.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Hogyan működött a cég a szocializmus éveiben?

V.L.: 1949-től a vállalkozás, amelyet eredetileg Cikta Rt.-nek hívtak, Tisza Cipőgyár Nemzeti Vállalat néven működött tovább. A szocializmus idején a gyár elsősorban belső piacra, illetve állami megrendelésre termelt, export az egykori szocialista országokba történt.

Tisza néven – a megújult logóval – 1971 óta készülnek a lábbelik. A Tisza cipők a 70-es években komoly népszerűségre tettek szert. A gyár sikeres működését mi sem bizonyítja ékesebben, mint hogy az Adidas cipők egy része is itt készült.

Érdekesség, hogy a mai old school stílusú cipők, az ezekben az években készült lábbeliket idézik. A félcipők mellett piacra dobták a magas szárú, illetve a különböző sportokhoz kifejlesztett termékeket. Ekkoriban egyébként már bőr-, és vászoncipők egyaránt készültek.

A hetvenes évek második felében a cég olyan jelentős méretűre nőtt – évi 10 000 000 pár cipőt, ebből 3 000 000 tornacipőt gyártottak –, hogy az ország több más üzemében készülő cipők gumitalpát is itt állították elő. A Tisza sikerének legfőbb titka az volt, hogy kiemelt figyelmet fordítottak a magas minőségű munkavégzésre.

1976-tól az Adidas számos új, hosszú távú szerződést írt alá a magyar céggel. A Tisza üzemében készült lábbelik ekkor már a brit piacon is kaphatóak voltak, sőt, ezekben az időkben köttetett az első exportszerződés is, amelynek értelmében megkezdődött az Amerikába történő értékesítés. A gyár jelentős kapacitását tükrözi az is, hogy a cég évi 2 millió pár cipőt exportált a volt szocialista országokba.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Hogyan érintette a céget a rendszerváltás?

V.L.: A legtöbb vállalkozással ellentétben a rendszerváltás a Tiszának elsősorban kiéleződő versenyhelyzetet hozott. A nyugati országokból számos nagy cég termékei érkeztek Magyarországra, amelyek természetesen felkeltették a külföldi árucikkeket kereső magyarok érdeklődését.
A Tisza Cipőgyár az 1990-es évek közepétől tornacipők helyett elsősorban utcai viseletre tervezett lábbeliket állít elő, igaz, 2003-tól ismét gyártják a klasszikus sportcipőket is.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Változott-e a cég vásárlóközönsége az idők során?

V.L.: 2003-ban, amikor feléledt a márka, a potenciális célcsoport meghatározásakor elsősorban azokra a vásárlókra helyeztük a hangsúlyt, akik a régmúltból fel tudták eleveníteni, és szimpatikusnak találták a Tiszát. Mivel a márka hetvenes évektől létezett, a – 2003-ban – 30 éven felüli korosztály volt az, aki emlékezhetett a Tiszára.

V.L.: Szélesebb körben szeretnénk népszerűsíteni a márkát. A törzsvásárlóknál idősebb generációt tervezzük megcélozni, a velük folytatott kommunikáció azonban nem zavarja majd a jelenlegi piacot.
