Gyermekkorunk kedvenc desszertje, a finom gesztenyerúd régi köntösben, azonban új beltartalommal ismét kapható az üzletekben. A márkát a Prima Maroni Kft. élesztette újjá, az a cég, amelynek tulajdonosa és vezetője eleinte cukrászok számára állított elő gesztenyemasszát. A jelentős érdeklődés miatt azonban Schweickhard György úgy döntött, hogy közkedvelt termékét ipari mennyiségben állítja elő.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Hogyan indult a cég története? A cégvezető szakmabeliként vágott-e bele a vállalkozás alapításába? Mikortól gyártanak gesztenyemasszát?

Schweickhardt György: A cukrászmesterséget az Ecseri Úti Vendéglátó Szakközépiskolában tanultam. Első cukrászdámat 1981-ben nyitottam Óbudán. A 80-as évek közepén kezdtem el gesztenyepüré előállításával foglalkozni, amelyet elsősorban cukrászok vásároltak. A magas minőségű gesztenyepüré iránt azonban olyan jelentős volt az érdeklődés, hogy 1995-ben üzemet vásároltam Csepelen, azért, hogy a termék ipari mennyiségben történő előállítására itt kerüljön sor.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Milyen nehézségekbe ütköztek az első években, és hogyan jutottak túl ezeken?

S. Gy.: A legfőbb nehézségek közé sorolható az, hogy az üzem megvásárlásához hitelt kellett felvennünk, illetve hogy a fejlesztésekhez nem álltak rendelkezésünkre pályázati pénzek. A növekedés azonban – többek között azért, mert a nyereséget mindig visszaforgattuk – idővel mégis beindult.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Mikor indult növekedésnek a cég?

S. Gy.: A cég alapítása óta folyamatosan növekszik, mind árbevétel, mind pedig termékskála tekintetében. Eleinte csak egy fajta, 250 grammos gyorsfagyasztott gesztenyepürét árusítottunk, ma már azonban több mint negyven féle termékünk van, ebből 15 féle kiváló magyar élelmiszer védjeggyel rendelkezik.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Hogyan építették ki a kereskedelmi hálózatukat?

S. Gy.: A cukrászokkal és a cukrászati nagykereskedésekkel a kapcsolat a cukrászati múlt miatt adott volt. 1996-ban a Prima Maroni márka nevű 250 g-os gyorsfagyasztott gesztenyepüré kiváló minőségének köszönhetően cégünk az Unilever Magyarország kizárólagos beszállítója lett. A termék gyártását az Unilever finanszírozta – ezen vállalaton keresztül sikerült bekerülnünk a multinacionális hálózatokba, amelyek többségében valamelyik termékünkkel ma is jelen vagyunk.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Mikortól kaphatóak a Prima Maroni Kft. termékei a láncokban? Milyen nehézségekbe ütköztek a láncokba történő bekerülést illetően? Mennyiben más a kereskedelmi multikkal történő együttműködés?

S. Gy.: A gyorsfagyasztott gesztenyepüré élelmiszerhálózatokban – SPAR, Kaiser’s, Plus, METRO – történő értékesítése Prima Maroni márkanév alatt 1997-ben indult el.

A Maroni márkanév alatt lévő termékeink azóta több más láncba is bekerültek, melyeknek ismertségében és elismertségében nagy segítség a Kiváló Magyar Élelmiszer Védjegy használata.

A Maroni Gesztenye Marci, illetve Geszti Eszti termékek folyamatosan kerültek be a multinacionális kereskedelmi láncokba.

S. Gy.: Az összes hűtött és gyorsfagyasztott Maroni márkanévvel rendelkező termékünk elnyerte a Kiváló Magyar Élelmiszer védjegyet. A 2006-os Év Bioterméke versenyen termékünket III. díjjal tüntették ki. A Maroni Gesztenye Marci Hungaropack 2006 csomagolási díjat, számos termékünk pedig Foodapest-díjat nyert.

S. Gy.: Folyamatosan figyeljük a trendeket és a piaci igényeket. Cukrászati végzettségemnek és tapasztalataimnak köszönhetően a fejlesztés a továbbfeldolgozott termékek irányában történik.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Mikor, és milyen ötlettől vezérelve döntöttek Geszti Eszti „feltámasztása” mellett? Milyen piackutatási eredmények, prognózisok előzték meg döntést?

S. Gy.: Az évek folyamán azt tapasztaltuk, hogy a harminc éven felüli korosztály számos képviselője a gesztenyerúd hallatán a Geszti Eszti termékre asszociált. Azt is fontosnak tartottunk, hogy a retrós termékek komoly népszerűségnek örvendenek. A termék alapos piackutatás után 2010 októberében jelent meg.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Hogyan változott a cég vevőköre az idők során?

S. Gy.: A régi partnerek közül szinte valamennyivel ma is együttműködésben állunk. Az utóbbi időben – részben a Gesztenye Marcinak köszönhetően – új kereskedelmi kapcsolatok létesültek.

Haszonkulcs.hu: Miért érdemes a gesztenyepürét, és gesztenyekészítményeket vásárolni kívánó cégeknek, cukrászoknak, éttermeknek, viszonteladóknak a Prima Maroni Kft.-t választania?
